About
what is this
Thousands of people are shipping small games, gaming websites, engines, tools and useful community resources right now. Many are built in an afternoon with an AI in the loop. Almost all of them are seen by nobody. The distribution options are a post that moves quickly, a community with strict self-promotion rules, or paid promotion that takes time to manage.
gamerank.lol is the dumbest possible alternative. It's one leaderboard. Your position is your cumulative spend. Pay $5 and you're on it. Pay a dollar more than the listing above you and you're above it. No ranking algorithm, no reviews, no API keys, no revenue share, no account.
rank and popularity
GameRank shows two separate signals. Paid amount determines rank and nothing else can move a listing. Likes show community popularity, with one best-effort like per browser. A popular listing does not outrank a higher paid listing.
the platform boards
The front page crown can become more competitive as projects join. But one bid also ranks you on your platform or engine board, and those start empty. Being #1 in Bevy or #1 in LÖVE can still start at $5. Gaming websites, stores and directories can choose Web / other, while engine-specific listings can reach people already exploring that engine.
is this an ad network
It's a paid leaderboard. The public listing is the placement: title, description, platform, amount paid and a direct link to the submitted destination.
the honest bit
Money buys position, not traffic. Position tends to produce traffic, but nothing here is a guarantee, and the rules explain cancellation and refund rights. Site-wide visit counts show the click-throughs GameRank has sent, while likes remain a separate popularity signal. Neither is a traffic or sales guarantee.
Built as a weekend project. Concept lineage: outbid.lol, and every pay-to-rank board that came after it. hi@gamerank.lol
