privacy

What GameRank records, why, and where it goes.

project listings

Information submitted for a listing is public: project name, description, destination link, category, engine, optional builder and handle, cover colour, rank and cumulative amount paid and like count. Do not submit information you do not want displayed publicly.

payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. GameRank records the Stripe checkout and payment identifiers, payment state and amount needed to confirm and maintain a listing. GameRank does not receive or store full card details. Stripe processes payment information under its own privacy terms.

referrals

When a visitor arrives through a tagged campaign link, GameRank stores only the first valid source, medium, campaign and content labels in a secure first-party cookie for up to 30 days. Those labels can be attached to a later checkout and confirmed payment so we can understand which campaign links produced paid listings. The cookie contains no name, email address or advertising-platform identifier. GameRank does not currently use the X Pixel, retargeting or a third-party advertising cookie.

visits and likes

Outbound listing clicks increment the public visit counter. To limit repeat counting, GameRank derives a short hash from the visitor's network address and listing, then deduplicates it within a ten-minute window. The raw network address is not placed in the visit record or displayed publicly. When you like a listing, GameRank stores a random first-party browser identifier for up to one year and saves only its hash with that listing. This limits each browser to one active like per listing. You can tap the Like button again to remove it.

choices and contact

You can remove the first-party referral and like cookies through your browser settings. Questions, corrections or privacy requests can be sent to hi@gamerank.lol. Listing and payment rules are explained on the rules page.
